Hi there!
I know this can be a stressful time for a lot of us. We are in the middle of a global pandemic- our generation has never experienced something like this before. People are losing they jobs, many are forced to stay away from their loved ones and important events are being cancelled left right and centre.
It is very natural to feel overwhelmed and stressed out, but try your best to eliminate that stress as much as you can. Stress is so hard on the body. It has been linked to physical pain (such as headaches and body aches), weakened immune system, reducing your body’s response to foreign invaders (making you more susceptible to illness), a rise in blood pressure, heart disease, the development of type 2 diabetes, autoimmune conditions such as alopecia and more.
As someone who has suffered with anxiety, stress was something I used to experience regularly. The negative impacts it had on my mental and physical health became all-too present and I knew I had to make a change.
I decided I was going to try everything I could to find a natural solution as medication was a very last resort for me. I am very thankful to say I succeeded in naturally getting it under control!
I did this through two ways: correcting my nutrition and adjusting my physical/ mental health.
In terms of nutrition, I dove into research about what my body needed to be as healthy as possible. Despite how healthy I thought I was, I discovered I was shockingly malnourished. I incorporated a health and wellness system into my everyday routine and within days felt positive affects on both my physical health and mental health.
The one all-natural product I want to highlight for de-stressing is a wonderful plant-based tonic called Ionix Supreme. I take a shot of it every single morning. Ionix is a nutrient-rich tonic, featuring a blend of Adaptogens designed to protect against the negative effects of stress.
This is a saving grace for me. It contains a blend of plant-based Adaptogens specifically chosen for their benefits in modulating the consequences of chronic stress. It also contains antioxidants for combating free radicals to support healthy aging. Ionix helps balance and normalize the body’s systems, energizes cells to support faster post-exercise recovery and supports clarity and focus.
If stress is something you deal with at all, I highly suggest looking into this!
In terms of metal health, I began to be more observant of my body's response to stress and what triggers it. I linked my aggravation, low energy and negative thoughts to different stress factors in my life. It took a lot of self reflection to really understand what was going on in my mind. Stress factors can be anything from toxic relationships to being wrapped up in a victim complex. I learned that everyone goes through tough times and that I could never grow into the person I wanted to be if I continued using that as an excuse. Stepping up, stopping feeling sorry for yourself and taking responsibility for your situation is a difficult but extremely effective way to lower overall stress.
Talking to a therapist is something also highly recommended. No matter how mentally sound you are, I firmly believe everyone could use a bit of therapy. An outside, professional opinion can offer a lot of beneficial insights that can be difficult to discover yourself. Depending on the severity of your situation, speaking to a health care professional could also be recommended. I strongly believe that many of the issues we deal with can often be solved naturally. I think our generation often hops to medication too quickly, however I know this is not the case with everyone! You have to do what is right for you.
Exercising regularly is also very important. Walking for 30 minutes a day can help boost your mood and improve your health. I personally like to incorporate a toning/ strengthening fitness routine along side this.
Setting goals and priorities was also a major factor in de-stressing my life. Finding passion and something to work towards improved my mental health drastically.
Lastly, staying connected. Reaching out to loved ones is important. Having a support system and knowing you're loved is crucial. You are not alone!
I hope you are able to take a tip or two from this. These are all things that have really helped shape me into the (for the most part) stress-free person I am today.
Have a great rest of your day and stay safe!
xx Ellis
